Region was today!!! We got there and i really wanted to qualify for state in the 1600m i had a few hours to kill so i covered up in sweats and a hoodie and fell asleep for a very long time. Carlos thought it would be funny to pour water on me while i slept. i wasn't too happy about that!! but it was kinda funny! eventually after sleep and trying to stay out of the sun, i decided to get up and watch the races going on. Keaton Briggs totally killed in the prelims of the 100m Hurdles! I warmed up for about 10 minutes and began to do some quick stretching and agilities. I've found that i run better if i'm still a little tight. my hamstring wasn't feeling it too much though. soon we were on the line and i was projected 9th place at the start. not too bad i would just have to push hard and try to take top 5. I felt good during the race and was giving it my all but i didn't run very smart and i ended up running a 4:38.71 not my best race and definately slower than i wanted. I wasn't very happy about not qualifying but i still had the 3200 the next day. I'm really proud and happy with myself this year in track, i never knew i would be running 4:30's i know in college i'll get faster with training. I did a 15 min cool down and stretched. Paxton was really happy with my performance. I was happy walking off the track with my 1600.
